The displayed language depends on your browser language. However, you can change languages from the Language menu.

Unlocking a record locked by another technician


(2023 Release 02) If technicians have records open in their workspace, then these records are automatically locked for other technicians. These records are displayed in read-only mode and the data cannot be edited by other technicians. You can now unlock these multiple locked records directly from the interfaces of the TicketAssignmentPurchase OrderPurchase ItemAnnouncementSolutionChange RequestAssetMaster ItemSoftware Title, and Software License modules.

To unlock a record locked by another technician

  1. On the header bar, expand the hamburger menu HamburgerNew.png and select Configuration.
  2. Click Application Settings and select Unlock Records.
  3. On the Unlock Records page, select the records to be unlocked from the grid.
    1. In the search box, enter the Record ID and click Search search icon.png.
    2. Click Filter filter icon.pngto filter the records according to the modules.
      You can sort the column values in the grid view in ascending or descending order. By default, the grid view is sorted in ascending order of the values in the first column, that is, the Record ID column. 
  4. Click Unlock Unlock icon.png.
  5. In the Unlock Record dialog box, click Yes.
    The records are unlocked and the record data is editable.

    Warning

    Important

    If a record is locked by a technician, and after unlocking the record, it is modified by another technician, then the changes made by the second technician are saved.
