The displayed language depends on your browser language. However, you can change languages from the Language menu.

Creating and managing publishers (2021 Release 02)


Software publishers are used in the Software Licenses module to identify the manufacturers of the software titles that you are tracking. The publishers are displayed as an option when you create new software titles in the Software Licenses module, and as a column in the software grid.

To create a publisher

  1. On the header bar, expand the hamburger menu HamburgerNew.pngand select Configuration.
  2. Click Software Licenses and select Publishers.
  3. On the Publishers page, click New.
  4. In the New Publisher dialog box, perform the following steps:
    1. In the Name field, enter the publisher name.
    2. (Optional) To make this publisher unavailable, select the Mark as Inactive check box.
  5. Click Save.
    The new publisher is created. If the selected publisher name already exists in the system, an error message is generated.
  6. To add more publishers, repeat steps 3, 4, and 5.

To edit a publisher

  1. On the header bar, expand the hamburger menu HamburgerNew.pngand select Configuration.
  2. Click Software Licenses and select Publishers.
  3. On the Publisher page, select the publisher to be edited.
  4. Click Edit new1.png to edit the publisher.
  5. Click Save.
    The publisher is edited. If the edited publisher name already exists in the system an error message is generated.

To delete a publisher

  1. On the header bar, expand the hamburger menu HamburgerNew.pngand select Configuration.
  2. Click Software Licenses and select Publishers.
  3. On the Publisher page, select the publisher to be deleted.
  4. Click Trashbin new1.png to delete the publisher.
  5. Click Yes.
    The publisher is deleted from the user interface and the database.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
