Relationship type

Description

Account On System

Links accounts to a system. An account-system relationship provides uniqueness for the unqualified account name within the scope of the system.

All Related

This is a base relationship type and you are unlikely to create any records of this relationship type.

Application System Services

Links components to application systems. Use this relationship type to define the components of an application system.

Base Relationship

It is a common relationship type for the relationship in CMDB instances.

Component

Establishes component (or "part of") relationships between managed instances. For example, this relationship type can be used to define the patches that are installed on a software product. It can also be used to define the activities or steps that make up a business process.

Contract Component

Links a contract class instance to a contract line instance.

Dependency

Dependency relationships are represented by red lines with an arrow to show the direction of the relationship. For example, in a BMC_Dependency relationship, the arrow points from A (source) to B (destination). In this relationship, entity A is dependent on entity B, and that entity B impacts entity A.
