Relationship types in Remedyforce CMDB
Relationship type | Description |
---|---|
Account On System | Links accounts to a system. An account-system relationship provides uniqueness for the unqualified account name within the scope of the system. |
All Related | This is a base relationship type and you are unlikely to create any records of this relationship type. |
Application System Services | Links components to application systems. Use this relationship type to define the components of an application system. |
Base Relationship | It is a common relationship type for the relationship in CMDB instances. |
Component | Establishes component (or "part of") relationships between managed instances. For example, this relationship type can be used to define the patches that are installed on a software product. It can also be used to define the activities or steps that make up a business process. |
Contract Component | Links a contract class instance to a contract line instance. |
Dependency | Dependency relationships are represented by red lines with an arrow to show the direction of the relationship. For example, in a BMC_Dependency relationship, the arrow points from A (source) to B (destination). In this relationship, entity A is dependent on entity B, and that entity B impacts entity A. |
Destination-Source | Links a destination instance with the source instance. |
Element Location | Links a location to an instance. |
Genealogy | Establishes genealogy relationship between CIs. For example, use this relationship type to associate a cloned virtual machine with its parent virtual machine. |
Has Impact | Establishes impact relationships between instances. |
Hosted Access Point | Links an access point instance to the system where it resides. Each system can host many access points. |
Hosted Service | Links a service and the system where it resides. Each system can host many services. |
Hosted System Components | Links a system with its managed system elements. |
In IP Subnet | Links an IP subnet instance with an IP endpoint instance. |
In Segment | Links an endpoint with a segment of a local area network (LAN). |
IP Subnets In Collection | Links IP subnets to a group of logical networks (instances of the BMC_LNsCollection class). |
LNs In Collection | Links sets of protocol endpoints (instances of the BMC_ConnectivityCollection class) to build logical networks (an instance of the BMC_LNsCollection class). |
Member of Collection | Links endpoints, systems, or users to an instance of BMC_Collection or its subclasses. |
Offering Measured By | Links an offering to a Service Level Target. |
Other | Select this option if a relationship type is known but is not listed under relationship types. |
Segments In Collection | Links LAN segments (instances of the BMC_ConnectivitySegment class) to an instance of the BMC_LNsCollection class. |
Service-Offering | Relationship between a high-level service and it's service offering. |
Service-Subservice | Links a service and its parent. |
Setting of | Links a managed element to the applicable setting data and describes whether this is the default or the current setting. |
Source-Destination | Links a source instance with the destination instance. |
Unknown | Select this option if the relationship between two instances is not known. |
