BMC Helix Remedyforce 20.23.02 sandbox testing guidelines


The BMC Helix Remedyforce 20.23.02 (Summer 23) release contains enhancements and defect fixes to improve the product quality. We recommend that if you choose to self-upgrade, then you must first upgrade and test 20.23.02 in your sandbox organization before pushing this version to your production organization.

This topic provides recommended validations related to the enhancements and defect fixes that are addressed in the BMC Helix Remedyforce 20.23.02 release. Since these guidelines do not cover all customizations or configurations that are specific to your organization, we recommend that you use this topic as a reference for understanding the possible product areas, which are updated. As partners and customers, do not limit your validations to the testing guidelines that are mentioned in this topic. You must also execute your test cases to make sure that all the use cases important to your business continue to work as expected.   • Make sure that the assets linked to the logged in user are displayed as expected.

Make sure that the Date and Date-Time fields displays the correct date after submitting the service request.

Make sure that the values of the fields which are controlled by hidden fields are displayed correctly when the value of the Requested For field is set to Self or changed to any other user.

Make sure that while submitting service requests, which are saved in the Draft mode, if invalid inputs are provided for these fields having validation rules, the appropriate error message is displayed under the respective fields.

Notes

Make sure that the Notes can be added and updated while submitting or editing tickets and that the same note can be seen in the submitted tickets when they are accessed by using the Activity feed.
