Installer prerequisites on Windows not met


If you do not set the Terminal Services Configuration options while installing the product on a Microsoft Windows operating system, you might encounter errors.

To set configuration options for Windows installation

On a Windows computer, to enable running the installation wizard through a Terminal Services connection or a remote desktop session, you must turn off certain Terminal Server configuration options that pertain to temporary folders.

These configuration options apply to both BMC Release Process Management and BMC Release Lifecycle Management Requester UI (now called Release Process Management - Requester UI, 5.0.03.001 onward).

  1. Access the Terminal Services Configuration console by using one of the following methods:
    • Go to Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Terminal Services Configuration.
    • Go to Start > Run, and then type tscc.msc.
  2. Click Server Settings.
  3. Disable each of the following options by setting each to No:
    • Delete temporary folders on exit
    • Use temporary folders per session
  4. Restart the computer.
