Description

DE68219

If you assigned a request to a lifecycle that had some associated tickets, added a step with some tickets and an automation script, and then executed the request, when you opened the result, the step did not display the associated tickets.

DE68838

Context root brpm gets missing in the Geade Tickets automation script. This means the following:
The parameter SS_base_url in the automation script input parameters does not contain the context root and correct protocol (http/https) information of the tomcat server. So, for example, if you have the application running on a tomcat as :
https://windows.myorg.com:8443/brpm
the SS_base_url still contains:
http://windows.myorg.com:8443.
You may need to modify your automation scripts to manually hard code this value wherever it is used, or you may need to pass in a property containing this information to the automation script

None

You have installed BMC Release Process Management on Red Hat Linux 64 bit, but are unable to get the automation working. The issue is caused by the wrapper.conf configuration option: set.JRUBY_OPTS=-J-XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit. Comment this out and your automation works fine.

Downloading the files

The BMC Release Process Management installation program includes the latest service packs and patches. If you just installed the product for the first time, you do not need to apply service packs or patches before you begin using the product. When new service packs and patches are released for BMC Release Process Management, you will perform an upgrade of the product to apply the latest changes. You can find information about service packs and patches under What-s-new.

  1. Create a directory in which to place the downloaded files.

    Note

On Microsoft Windows computers, ensure that the directory is only one level into the directory structure. The EPD package creates a directory in the temporary directory when you extract the files, and the directory that contains the installation image should not be in a directory deeper than two levels into the directory structure.

  2. Go to http://www.bmc.com/available/epd.html.
  3. At the logon prompt, enter your user ID and password, and click Submit.
  4. On the Export Compliance and Access Terms page, provide the required information, agree to the terms of the agreements, and click Continue.
  5. If you are accessing this site for the first time, create an EPD profile to specify the languages and platforms that you want to see, per the EPD site help; otherwise, skip to step 6.
  6. Verify that the correct profile is displayed for your download purpose, and select the Licensed Products tab.
  7. Expand BMC Application Management Suite to show the available versions.
  8. Expand BMC Application Management Suite 2.3.00 for the appropriate platform and language to show the downloadable files.
  9. Under the relevant platform and language, expand BMC Release Process Management Version 2.5.01.
  10. Select the check boxes next to the files and documents that you want to download.
  11. Click Download (FTP) or Download Manager:
    • Download (FTP) places the selected items in an FTP directory, and the credentials and FTP instructions are sent to you in an email message.
    • Download Manager enables you to download multiple files consecutively and to resume an interrupted download if the connection is dropped.
This method requires a one-time installation of the Akamai NetSession client program on the target computer and is usually the faster and more reliable way to transfer files. A checksum operation is used to verify file integrity automatically.
