Generating component versions conflict reports

After you have created and executed lifecycle runs, you need to know if there are any components versions conflicts in the runs. There is a feature in BMC Release Process Management that tells you how to find this. If you discover conflicts of versions, you need to go back to the runs to sort this out.

To generate component versions conflicts reports

1. Click the Lifecycles tab. The lifecycle list opens.
2. Click the required lifecycle. The runs list appears.
3. From the drop down field under the Stages tab, click your required run. A new tab Version Conflict Report appears in the right pane.
4. Click the  Version Conflict Report tab.

There is a color coded key given at the bottom left hand corner of the page. If there are version conflicts, the colors appear with the runs. If there are no component version conflicts, the reports appear without any color. If there are conflicts, you may review the request/steps from respective runs to resolve the conflicts.
