Requests - clones, sequential, and parallel

Runs can have clones, runs can be sequential, and runs can be in parallel.

To clone a request

Sometimes, you may need to reuse a request. The request may be the same that you created for an old project. The cloning helps you to reuse a request without having to start again to create a new one. A request is in another stage and a run has been completed. So, you are able to use this idle or complete request for your latest purpose.

  1. Click the Lifecycles tab.
  2. Click open your required lifecycle.
  3. Select the check box for the request that you want to reuse.
  4. Click the Add to Run tab. The following dialog box appears:

  5. Select the run from the Run drop down. The cloning is default as you can see that it is marked with a yes.
  6. You need to add requests from the Add Requests button.

To run a request in sequential or parallel

  1. Select the Lifecycles tab.
  2. Click open the required lifecycle.
  3. Select a run from the Show all request (or select a run) drop down.
  4. Click the Reorder Run tab and when the requests open, drag and drop to run in sequence or in parallel.
  5. Click done reordering.
