Associating components with environments

After you have created environments and have created components in an application, you must associate components with the environments. A component that is associated with an environment is called an installed component.

After associating a component with an environment, you can assign a version number to the installed component. You can also associate the installed component with servers, server groups, or server level groups.

To associate environments and components

Associate components and environments in the following ways:

  • Drag and drop components:
    1. Click the environment to open it.
    2. Drag the required component from the right pane and drop it in the component area to associate with the required environment.
  • Click Copy All Components to All Environments.
Select this option only if you must copy all the components to all the environments that you are using.
Warning

Note

You can copy a maximum of 1,000 components to an environment.
