About the Dashboard page

The Dashboard is the first page that opens when you log into BMC Release Process Management. After you log in you see a flash message on top saying, "logged in successfully." The message lasts for around 10 seconds and then disappears.

The following default tabs that are open:

  • My Applications
  • My Requests

You can configure the Dashboard page by using the Profile tab (see Setting-the-appearance-of-Dashboard-page). The Profile tab is on the right hand corner.

My Applications

My Applications lists the applications that you have created. The Create Application button is below the list of applications. Use this button to create a new application. Additional tabs are:

  • My Environments tab — Lists the environments under consideration, the applications against each environment, the release, and recent activity, which means the steps (see REST-Steps) which you or your team have used recently.
  • My servers tab — Lists the servers in action, the environments associated with each server, and the recent activity on each.

My Requests

My Requests lists the requests that you have made and any requests that are pending.

Note

User must be assigned to the specific application/environment and either needs to be requestor for the request or the user must have a step assigned to the user to see the request in the Dashboard. For the user role, the request must be in planned state.

The Create Request link, on the right pane, is an important link on this page.

The right pane lists your Recent Activity. Click More activity to view the list of all activities in a dialog box. If you click show steps, the system displays the status of the requests in the current time.
