The Environment Calendar report provides a calendar view of all the environments created and used at various stages of a release plan and for various applications. This report essentially shows data about release plans per environment. You can determine the calendar schedule for an environment used for a particular release or across release plans. You can determine the applications and the associated components to which these environments are assigned under a release plan, the period for which the environment is assigned, and the release date for the plan.

You can view the data by month (default), week, or day. You can apply filters to see data related to particular applications, environments, plans, and plan status.

This report helps you answer questions such as:

  • Which release plans are associated with which environments?
  • Which environments are assigned to which applications and the associated components?
  • What are the release dates for the various release plans?
  • Which environments are involved in a particular release plan?
  • What is the period for which the various environments are assigned?

The following figure shows a sample Environment Calendar report that provides a monthly view of release plans per environment, the release dates, and the applications and associated components to which the environments are assigned.

    • The solid lines spanning across the chart denote the release dates of different plans. The color of these lines corresponds to the horizontal bars.
    • The red dashed line spanning across the chart marks the current date.
    • Rest the mouse pointer on the horizontal colored bars to see the application and components to which the environment is assigned (for that release plan).

      Notes

      • You can view data for only those plans to which you have access permissions. Administrators can see data related to all the plans present in the database.
      • You can see the environments assigned for each of the release plans in this report only after you have set the start and end dates for the environments assigned at every stage of the selected plan. To add start and end dates for the environments, you must edit the particular plan, and then click the Edit Plan Details link at the bottom of the Applications table. If you do not set the end date for a particular environment, by default the release date of the plan is used as the end date for the environment.
  3. Click <previous or next> at the top of the chart to scroll across the various months and see necessary data across various months (days or weeks, depending on the filter applied).
  4. Click Open Filters to specify a reporting time period and apply filters.

Click Clear Filter to clear all the filters that you set.
