Starting and stopping product services


During the installation of BMC Release Process Management (RPM), the RPM server and the PostgreSQL database server (if installed) are registered as system services, provided that you installed RPM with administrator or root privileges. When installing

Starting or stopping registered product services

The following services are registered during the installation of RPM and

  • BMC Release Lifecycle Management Requester UI
  • PostgreSQL

On Windows, you can start and stop the following services through the Services management console (services.msc).

On Linux or UNIX, use the following commands to start or stop the product services:

Starting or stopping product services using scripts

If you installed RPM without administrator or root privileges, you can start and stop product services using special scripts, as described in the following table:
