Exporting properties of all applications

You can export properties of all the applications in the system to a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file by using the export_all_properties rake task.

To export properties of all the applications

  1. Navigate to the RPMhome\releases\yourCurrentVersion\RPM\portal.war\WEB-INF directory and set the environment variable by running the following command:

    ./opt/bmc/RLM/bin/setenv.sh
  2. Run the following rake task:

    jruby -S rake apps:export_all_properties RAILS_ENV=production
  3. Press Enter.
After the rake task is executed successfully, the following sample message is displayed.

    elapsed_time: 22 seconds
CSV file is located at: /opt/bmc/RLM/releases/5.0.03.003/RPM/exports/apps/export_all_properties_05-07-2019-22-36-48.csv

The following table shows the contents of an exported file.

    Application Name

    Application Status

    Note

If an installed component associated with an application does not have any property mapped to it, the exported file shows only the application name in the Application Name column. The remaining columns are empty. For example, components associated with the default application do not have any property mapped to them. Therefore, only the Application Name column is populated.
The *** value for a property indicates that it is a private property and the value is encrypted. For example, ORACLE SID.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
