Accessing the interface


BMC Release Process Management (BRPM) 5.0 consists of two user interfaces:

  • RPM Classic UI (formerly called Legacy UI)
  • Some content is unavailable due to permissions.

You can use the RPM Classic and RLM Requester user interfaces to perform the following management tasks:

BRPM supports only the following combination of Classic UI and Requester UI:

  • Classic UI on HTTP and Requester UI on HTTP
  • Classic UI on HTTP and Requester UI on HTTPS

Starting from version 5.0.03.004, BRPM supports only HTTPS.

To log on and access the RPM Classic UI

Perform the following steps to access the RPM Classic UI:

  1. Type the following URL into your browser:
    • https://hostName:port/webServerPath

      Parameter

      Description

      hostName

      Web server on which the console is installed or IP address

      port

      Web server port if you are not using the default HTTP port

      webServerPath

      Location configured for your web server to serve the installation directory (can be omitted if the product was installed into the web server root directory)

      Default: brpm/

      For example, https://153.234.83.130:8080/brpm or http://serv.domain:8080/brpm

  2. Enter user name and password, and then click Log in.

To log on and access the BMC Release Lifecycle Management – Requester UI
