Operation failed: Java heap space

Issue: If an automation step takes a long time to execute, the step might fail and an error message about inadequate Java heap size is displayed. 

This issue might also occur if you are running the Execute job against snapshot job script for BSA integration. In this scenario, a job is successfully executed on BMC Server Automation, but the step goes into a problem and the following error message is displayed:

Java::JavaLang::OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Resolution: To resolve this issue, adjust the JVM memory settings for the heap size to 8GB or more. For more information, see Configuring-JVM-memory-settings.
