Installing

This section explains how to install BMC Release Lifecycle Management 4.4, which includes the following component products:

  • BMC Release Process Management 4.4
  • BMC Release Package and Deployment 4.4

You can install these products together or separately. A single installation program installs separate instances of BMC Release Process Management and BMC Release Package and Deployment. The installation supports the Postgres, MSSQL, and Oracle databases, and includes TorqueBox configurations.

Note

For any database, you must install BMC Release Process Management and BMC Release Package and Deployment in different, independent table spaces and user schemas to ensure that no data overwrites or corruptions occur. For example, in Oracle, you would install as follows:

  • BMC Release Process Management: Tablespace = brpm and User schema = brpm
  • BMC Release Package and Deployment: Tablespace = blvq and User schema = blvq

The installation program automatically installs the BMC Release Package and Deployment dispatcher. To install the dispatcher on a different computer without using the installation wizard, see Installing-and-starting-dispatchers-and-bridges.
