End-to-end process

The BMC Release Lifecycle Management 4.3 suite includes the following component products, which you can install together:

  • BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation 4.3
  • BMC Release Process Management 2.6

You can use BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation for planning your deployments, while you can use BMC Release Process Management for release planning, depending on your role.

The following figure depicts the end-to-end process for the BMC Lifecycle Management 4.3 suite. The upper section of the figure shows the end-to-end process for deployments using BMC VaraLogix Q Delpoyment Automation. This would be useful to you in the role of a developer, quality analyst, or release engineer. The lower section shows the end-to-end process for release planning using BMC Release Process Management.  This would be useful to you in the role of a release engineer or from an operations perspective. Each step of each process is mapped and linked to its topic in the respective product space.

You can integrate BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation and BMC Release Process Management. Step 3 in the lower section of the figure indicates the integration.
