End-to-end process

The BMC Release Lifecycle Management Suite 5.0 includes the following component products, which you can install together:

  • BMC Release Package and Deployment 5.0
  • BMC Release Process Management 5.0

You can use BMC Release Package and Deployment for planning your deployments, while you can use BMC Release Process Management for release planning, depending on your role.

The following figure depicts the end-to-end process for BMC Release Lifecycle Management Suite. The upper section of the figure shows the end-to-end process for deployments using BMC Release Package and Deployment. This would be useful to you in the role of a developer, quality analyst, or release engineer. The lower section shows the end-to-end process for release planning using BMC Release Process Management. This would be useful to you in the role of a release engineer or from an operations perspective. Each step of each process is mapped and linked to its topic in the respective product space.

You can integrate BMC Release Package and Deployment and BMC Release Process Management. Step 3 in the lower section of the figure indicates the integration.
