Support for Oracle 21c on Unix platform
From the 9.3.00 release, BMC SQL-BackTrack for Oracle provides toleration support for Oracle 21c.
Reporting functionality enhancement for Multitenant databases
From the 9.3.00 release, BMC SQL-BackTrack for Oracle supports reporting functionality enhancement for multitenant databases. This will allow the user to select the PDB from the multi-selection PDB list for generating the report for multitenant databases.
From this release, tablespace information is displayed in the report for all databases. BMC SQL-BackTrack for Oracle supports this functionality for the following reports:
- Backup Priority Report
- Backup History Report
- Backup Generations Report

Retained Backup Report can be generated using the reporting functionality
From the 9.3.00 release, BMC SQL-BackTrack for Oracle can generate retained backup report using reporting functionality through user interface as well as from command line interface.
User can automate retained backup report,
- For current as well as for all incarnations
- Can generate detailed, or summary report.

Support for OS authentication to work with backtrack pluggable database exports has been stopped
From Oracle 21c and Oracle 19.12.0.0 and later, connecting to pluggable databases with "/" is no longer supported because REMOTE_OS_AUTHENT parameter has been unsupported from Oracle Database.
To enable OS authentication for pluggable database export, OSA user login trigger must be defined before creation of pluggable database export profile.

Automated fallback to previous backup for multitenant database
From the 9.3.00 release, BMC SQL-BackTrack for Oracle now supports fallback to previous backup for PDB recovery if backup image is corrupted.

Support for new platform
From this release, the following platforms are supported:
- Certified on Red Hat Linux 7.9, with Oracle 18c for ASM database, Oracle 19c for Non-ASM database.
- Certified on SUSE12 SP4 with Oracle 19c for Non-ASM database.
- Certified on RHEL 8.3 and RHEL 8.4 with Oracle 21c with BMC SQL-BackTrack for Oracle version 9.3.00
