Inviting users to your store
This topic describes how to invite users to your store.
When inviting users to your store, they automatically receive an email outlining the store information and a link from which the BMC AppZone Client can be downloaded.
When setting up your store for the first time, the last step in the recommended approach is inviting users. That way, the users can immediately begin browsing through your store and adding optional applications. Also, if you have already specified the required applications for the group to which the new users belong, those applications will automatically be pushed to the user device(s) when they complete their first login. See Setting up your store for the first time for more information.
Additional administrator requirements for inviting users
Depending on which type of BMC AppZone Client your users will receive on their mobile device, you might have addtional work to do before sending user invitations. These differences are listed in the following table:

Pushing the BMC AppZone Client through corporate device management solution
If your company has a device management solution that you want to use for the deployment of the BMC AppZone Client, BMC can provide a unique installation URL for your use. Contact BMC Customer Support for more information.
To invite a user:
- From the BMC AppZone Administration Console, click People.
The Manage Users page appears. - Click Invite Users.
The Invite Users page appears. - For each user that you want to invite, enter their:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email address
- Job Title
- By default, the assigned role for new users is User. If you want these users to have administrator privileges, then change the Role to Admin.
- When finished, click Invite Users to issue the invitations.
To invite multiple users at once
- From the BMC AppZone Administration Console, click People.
The Manage Users page appears. - Click Invite Users.
The Invite Users page appears. - In the Bulk Invite New Users section, download the sample spreadsheet provided and add the users you want to invite.
- For each user that you want to invite, enter their:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email address
- Job Title
- Role
- Save the changes to the spreadsheet.
- In the Bulk Invite New Users section, specify the location of the modified spreadsheet.
- Click Upload File to issue the invitations.
To invite users through Active Directory
- From the BMC AppZone Administration Console, click People.
The Manage Users page appears. - Click Add LDAP Users.
- From the list of available users, select which users to add to your store. By default, all available users are selected.
- When finished, click Add Users to issue the invitations.
- In the user list, choose whether their role assignment will be User or Admin. See To switch role assignment between User and Admin for more information.
