Backing up and restoring the PostgreSQL database

Backing up the PostgreSQL database should be part of the regular maintenance of a TrueSight Vulnerability Management deployment.

Recommendation

We recommend that you back up the database on a separate computer than the database server.

For backup and restore instructions using PostgreSQL commands, see the PostgreSQL documentation.  You can also use the pgadmin utility for backing up and restoring your database. For more information, see the pgadmin documentation.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
