Using Phone Home


If you have a ticket number given to you by Support, you can follow up on progress using the Phone Home feature. You can generate and download a file that contains pertinent data and have it available to send to Support.

To use Phone Home

  1. Click the Administration tab.
  2. In the System Management section, click Troubleshooting > Phone Home.
  3. In the text field, enter the ticket number provided by Support.
    The Download button becomes active.
  4. To download the support information to your local server:
    1. Click Download file.
      A message appears, confirming that the collected data has been saved.
  5. Use the website http://www.bmc.com/support/support-central.html to send the file to support or submit a ticket by attaching the file.
