Uninstalling FootPrints
When you uninstall FootPrints, only the application files are removed. The following are not removed:
- FootPrints database
- Apache Tomcat server
- Log files
- File attachments
- Any files that you edited manually
You can uninstall by using the Uninstall utility on your server or using Silent mode. Also, you can uninstall the entire application or select particular features to uninstall.
To uninstall FootPrints using an Uninstall utility
- Close all programs on your computer.
- Do either of the following:
- Open the Uninstall utility on your server. From Windows, navigate to Start > Control Panel > Programs. Select the appropriate option (such as Uninstall a program).
- Click Start > Programs > BMC Software.
- Select FootPrints <version> and click Uninstall.
The Uninstaller welcome pane appears. - If any programs are still open, close them and then click Next.
The Select features pane appears. - Select individual features or select the top entry to uninstall all features.
- Click Next.
The Uninstallation Preview pane appears, identifying the location from which files will be removed. - Click Uninstall.
Progress messages appear as tasks are completed. When uninstallation is completed, the Uninstallation Summary pane appears. - To view the uninstallation log file, click View Log.
- To exit the uninstaller, click Done.
- Restart your computer to complete the uninstallation process.
This will clean up any remaining files.
To uninstall FootPrints using the Silent mode
- Close all programs on your computer.
- Do one of the following:
For Linux:
./uninstall.bin -i silent -DOPTIONS_FILE= <pathToFile>/data.txtFor Windows:
uninstall.exe -i silent -DOPTIONS_FILE= <pathToFile>\data.txt
