Patch Candidate report


The Patch Candidate report shows whether patch packages have been applied to the databases in your environment. This topic lists the prompts and columns available in the Patch Candidate report.

Report prompts

The following prompts apply to this report:

Description

Manager Hostname (optional)

The names of servers hosting the BMC Database Automation Manager in your environment that you want included in your report

Database Name (optional)

The names of databases in your environment that you want included in your report

Database Type (optional)

The types of databases in your environment that you want included in your report

Patch Package Name (optional)

The name of a patch package that you want included in your report

Status (optional)

The status of a related object in your environment that you want included in your report
For the Patching Candidate report, this refers to the patching status of a target database, either Not Patched or Patched. For the Activity report, this refers to the status of a Job, either FAILED or SUCCEEDED.

This report displays the following information:

Filters

Displays the filters applied to the report

Note: Due to a limitation of the BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform, the summary of filters applied to the report displays the prompt values selected at the time the report was run. Report filters applied explicitly on the report are not displayed in this summary.

Patch Package

Displays the patch package name

Host Name

Displays the host where the patch package was installed

Database

Displays the database on the host

Database Type

Displays the database type on the host

Database Version

Displays the version of the database on the host

OS

Displays the OS on the host

OS Version

Displays the OS version on the host

Architecture

Displays the OS architecture on the host

Domain

Displays the domain for the host

Status

Displays the status of the patch package

Patched

Displays the number of databases that were patched

Not Patched

Displays the number of databases that were not patched

Total Databases Shown

Displays the total number of databases shown in the report
