Running and viewing reports

  1. In the SAP BusinessObjects BI launch pad, open the Documents tab.
  2. Select Public Folders > BMC Decision Support – BladeLogic Automation Suite > BMC Decision Support – Database Automation.
  3. Select the folder for the report group that contains the report you want to run.
For example, to run the Database Inventory Summary report, select Database Reports.
  4. Double-click the report that you want to view.
For example, to run the Database Inventory report, double-click Database Inventory Report.
The Prompts window displays. For more details about prompts, see Report-prompts.
  5. For each prompt, complete the following steps:
    1. Select the prompt.
For example, to specify a database for which you want data included in the report, click Database Name.
You might need to click Refresh Values for the prompt values to appear.
    2. Select the value you want to apply and add it to the prompt field.
For example, if you are providing a value for Node OS, you might select SunOS 5.10 and add it to the Node OS field.
    3. For prompts that allow you to specify multiple values (for example, Database Type), select each value that you want to include in the report and add it to the prompt field.
After you add a prompt value, a green check mark appears next to the prompt to indicate that a value was selected.
  6. When you finish adding prompt values, click Run Query to run the report.
The report is generated and you can view it.
