Report prompts


When you run a report, a Prompts window opens, which includes with a list of prompts that are associated with the report and values that you can associate with the prompts. These values control the type of data that is included in the report and the time period for which data is collected for the report. Prompts are often required to run a report. If a prompt is optional, it is indicated next to the prompt.

If you do not specify a prompt value, a default value is applied. For example, all devices are included in reports unless you provide prompt values that filter the data to include devices that meet your specifications.

The prompts that apply to a report depend on the report type. The following prompts might apply to a report:

Cluster Name

The names of cluster databases in your environment that you want included in your report.

Cluster Type

The types of cluster databases in your environment that you want included in your report.

Create Date From

The start of a range specifying job creation date and time that you want included in your report.

Create Date To

The end of a range specifying job creation date and time that you want included in your report.

Create Time From

The start of a range specifying job creation time that you want included in your report.

Create Time To

The end of a range specifying job creation time that you want included in your report.

Database Major Version

The major versions of databases in your environment that you want included in your report.

Database Name

The names of databases in your environment that you want included in your report.

Database Type

The types of databases in your environment that you want included in your report.

Domain

The domain in your environment that you want included in your report.

Domain FQ Name

The fully-qualified domain names used in your environment that you want to include in your report.

End Date From

The start of a range specifying job ending date and time that you want included in your report.

End Date To

The end of a range specifying job ending date and time that you want included in your report.

End Time From

The start of a range specifying job ending time that you want included in your report.

End Time To

The end of a range specifying job ending time that you want included in your report.

Job Id

The BMC Database Automation job identification numbers that you want included in your report.

Job Type

The BMC Database Automation job types that you want included in your report.

Manager name

The names of BMC Database Automation Managers in your environment that you want included in your report.

Manager Hostname

The names of servers hosting the BMC Database Automation Manager in your environment that you want included in your report.

Node Name

The names of nodes in your environment that you want included in your report.

Node OS

The names of OSs run on nodes in your environment that you want included in your report.

OS Major Version

The major versions of an OS run on devices in your environment that you want included in your report.

OS Type

The OS types run on devices in your environment that you want included in your report.

Parent Domain

The parent domain in your environment that you want included in your report.

Patch Package Name

The name of a patch package that you want included in your report.

Start Date From

The start of a range specifying job starting date and time that you want included in your report.

Start Date To

The end of a range specifying job starting date and time that you want included in your report.

Start Time From

The start of a range specifying job starting time that you want included in your report.

Start Time To

The end of a range specifying job starting time that you want included in your report.

Status

The status of a related object in your environment that you want included in your report. For the Patching Candidate report, this refers to the patching status of a target database, either Not Patched or Patched. For the Activity report, this refers to the status of a Job, either FAILED or SUCCEEDED.

User Name

The user name that requested a job that you want included in your report.
