Managing templates for Sybase


The Manager enables you to create and manage templates for ease of provisioning and as a means of enforcing standardization across Sybase Dataservers and Replication Servers in your environment.

The following template types are available:

  • Apply/Remove Patch
  • Create Dataserver (12.5.x)
  • Create Dataserver (15.0.x)
  • Create Dataserver (15.5.x)
  • Create Dataserver (15.7.x)
  • Create Dataserver Home (12.5.x)
  • Create Dataserver Home (15.0.x)
  • Create Dataserver Home (15.5.x)
  • Create Dataserver Home (15.7.x)
  • Create Repserver (15.5.x)
  • Create Repserver (15.6.x)
  • Create Repserver (15.7.x)
  • Create Repserver Home (15.5.x)
  • Create Repserver Home (15.6.x)
  • Create Repserver Home (15.7.x)
  • Remove Dataserver

About the standard variables in Sybase templates

The following template variables can be used to populate fields in the corresponding wizard. For example, if a Dataserver name is entered in step 1 of the wizard, it can appear as a selectable option or appended to an entry in another section of the wizard.

For standard variables, all tags must be in either the editable or non_editable section of the template.

If you create custom fields, they can also be used as variables in templates. To add custom fields to a template, see Adding-custom-fields-to-a-template.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
