Editing the results of a compliance check
Compliance standards might contain manual checks related to specific physical conditions in the environment being checked for compliance. For example, these checks can relate to security systems or separate server rooms. These manual checks are marked as non-compliant per the rules in BMC Database Automation by default, and counts towards the percentage of compliance displayed in the Compliance % field. For example, the results of a standard that was run on a database host, two checks might have a status of MANUAL. Because those two checks are considered non-compliant out of a total of 5 checks, the Compliance % displayed is 60%. However, security audits might require 100% compliance, so you need a way to mark these manual checks as compliant before submitting the report to auditors.
You can update the results of these manual checks, upon physical verification or approval, and designate them as Manual Compliant or Manual Non-compliant. The Compliance % calculation, which can be used for compliance auditing purposes, will then reflect the results accordingly.
