Clustering software supported

The BMC Database Automation (BDA) solution supports the following clustering software types:

  • Oracle RAC

    Note

    BDA does not support policy-managed clusters and policy-managed databases.

  • Microsoft Cluster Service for:
    • SQL Server 2012 (Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, New in 8.9.03Windows Server 2016)
    • SQL Server 2008 R2 (Windows Server 2008 SP2)
    • SQL Server 2008 (Windows Server 2008)
  • Symantec Corporation VCS
    • Versions 5.0 (on Solaris and Linux)
    • Versions 4.1 (on Solaris and Linux).
    • Version 6.0 (on AIX 7.1)
