Detaching a Satellite Manager from the mesh

This topic describes how to detach a Satellite Manager from the Multi-Manager mesh.

To detach a Satellite Manager from the mesh

  1. Log on to the target Satellite Manager.
  2. To run the deconfigure_megamesh script:
    /app/clarity/manager_scripts/bin/deconfigure_megamesh
  3. When prompted, enter the password for the Multi-Manager user in postgres.

When a Satellite Manager is detached from the mesh, it retains all of the replicated content (both files and postgres) that was present since the last update. However, it will no longer get updates from the Content Manager.
