BMC Software announces the release of Patch 2 of BMC Database Automation 8.8 (8.8.00.02).

Version 8.8 of BMC Database Automation (BDA) features the following enhancements:

  • Support for Pluggable Databases on Oracle RAC and Restart (Grid Infrastructure) environments
  • Support for Oracle databases on RAC and Restart environments:
    • Oracle 12.1.0.2 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
    • Oracle 12.1.0.2 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7
  • Oracle Exadata certification
  • The ability to natively discover DB2 databases to be approved into BDA, and to create Actions and compliance standards for those databases
  • Support of a representational state transfer (REST) API for invoking functionality
  • A new BDA Compliance Standard for DISA MSSQL 2012 V1 R9
  • Several supportability improvements, including configuring a default RBAC starting point, deleting BDA users via the command line, and capturing metadata from the View page of a patch package.
