Product announcements


This topic presents announcements for current version of BMC Database Automation (BDA). These changes can affect the way in which you configure or run the installed version of the product, or how you plan the deployment of future versions.

End of full support for versions 8.2 and 8.3

Full support for BDA version 8.2 ended on January 30, 2015. Limited support remains in effect until January 31, 2017.

Full support for BDA version 8.3 ended on January 28, 2016. Limited support remains in effect until January 29, 2018.

Support for platforms, databases, and browsers

BDA supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, 10, and 11.

Beginning with BDA 8.7, the following databases, OSs, and browsers are no longer supported:

Browsers

Oracle 9

Oracle 10

Microsoft SQL Server 2000

Oracle Solaris 8

IBM AIX 5.3

Microsoft Windows 2000

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8

Additionally, there is no longer Manager support for servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 4.

Support for CLM integration

BDA 8.7.00.01 is certified for integration with BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management (CLM) 4.6.
