Become knowledgeable about the different types of databases you are managing in your environment.

Be able to effectively provision and manage all database types and know the differences between them. For example, in SQL Server provisioning, an instance of SQL Server is created first and one or more databases can be added to that instance. In contrast, with Oracle, a database is created first and additional instances are then added to that database.
