Editing group information


This topic describes how to edit group information. Grants determine the roles (and associated capabilities) that group members are permitted to perform and the domains in which they can perform them. Roles that include global capabilities require Grid (root) level grants.

To edit group information

  1. From the Management Console main page, select Security > Groups in the Context Frame.
  2. In the Groups page, click the name of the group you want to modify.
  3. In the Group Information page, click the buttons for the actions below to update the fields as needed.

    The [confluence_table-plus] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline.


  4. After you have made your changes, click Next to return to the Group Information page.

    The following example shows an updated Grants page after removing and adding roles in a group. In this example, the modification being made is to limit the Run Action Role domain grants to just the /LINUX subdomain.

  5. In the Summary page, review the changes that you made.
  6. Click Save Changes.
