Creating reports

The Reports Manager enables you to generate various reports that inventory your database infrastructure and assist in managing configuration across platforms. Report views include current and point-in-time for each report type.

The following report types can be created:

  • Information Report: Generates specific reports with detailed information about clusters, datafiles, initialization parameters, and tablespace changes to audit user activity on configuration data and ensure accountability.
  • Comparison Report: Compares databases against a baseline that you define to ensure consistency and identify variations across databases.
  • Timeline Report: Tracks changes such as database file changes for a particular database or over a period of time that you define.
  • Trending Report: Delivers an understanding of resource utilization over time to make informed decisions about resource allocation and scaling. Contains information about a number of different capacity metrics, including CPU and memory utilization.

Note

Reports are based on the data from the last run of the data warehouse collectors. Data warehouse collectors run when dagent starts and then at configured intervals for each collector. To determine how often a particular collector runs, refer to the dagent.conf file and locate the lines that begin with collector=. The number at the end is the interval, in seconds.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
