Enabling discovery of Sybase Replication Servers

BMC Database Automation detects Sybase Replication Servers that have /opt/sybase specified as their installation directory, and Replication Servers that have been installed in /opt/sybase/ and have their RUN file either in the /opt/sybase/ directory or in a subdirectory of /opt/sybase/REP-15_5/. If the Sybase Replication Server has been installed in another directory, that directory must be added to the sybase_instances.conf file as a HOME entry. If the RUN file for the server is located outside one of the expected locations in the home, a REPSERVER entry must be added to the sybase_instances.conf file.

For example, if a Sybase Replication Server is installed in /app/clarity/rs_example and the Replication Server is configured to use that home, but its RUN file is placed in /home/sybase/startup, the sybase_instances.conf file would contain the following:

HOME /app/clarity/example
INSTANCE /home/sybase/startup/RUN_servername
HOME /app/clarity/rs_example
REPSERVER /home/sybase/startup/RUN_repservername

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
