Microsoft SQL Server

The following prerequisites are required for installing Microsoft SQL Server:

Install the Microsoft OLE DB Driver 18 for SQL Server (MSOLEDBSQL). This OLE DB driver complies with the latest TLS 1.2 standards.
Important
This prerequisite is mandatory for Creating-a-database-on-an-instance-of-SQL-Server and optional for Creating-an-instance-of-SQL-Server.

The following SQL Server versions are supported for Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition, Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Edition, and Windows Server 2012 R2, 2012 Enterprise and Standard Editions:

BMC Database Automation does not support Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.
Veritas Storage Foundation 6.0.1 is supported for all the supported Microsoft SQL Server versions noted in this section.
