Switching nodes back to the Primary (Home) Satellite Manager

If your Multi-Manager environment is configured to use Agent Failover functionality, nodes that lose contact for the defined failover period (default value of 60 minutes) with their Primary (Home) Satellite Manager are automatically transferred to another Satellite Manager in the mesh. When the Primary (Home) Satellite Manager is available again, you can return control of those nodes to their Primary (Home) Satellite Manager.

To switch nodes back to the Primary (Home) Satellite Manager, do the following:

  1. In the Context Frame, click Multi-Manager.
  2. Click Switch Nodes Back to Primary Manager.
  3. Select one or more Alien Managers and click Continue.

Note

Switching a large number of nodes from one Satellite Manager to another might take an extended period of time to complete.
