Renaming a domain

You can rename a domain in the Context Tree in BMC Database Automation. Only the display name is renamed.

To rename a domain, do the following:

  1. In the Context Tree, select the domain that you want to rename.
  2. Select Maintenance > Rename Domain.
  3. In the Rename Domain page, type the new name of the domain in the New Domain Name field.
  4. Click Rename Domain.

Note

Fully-qualified domain names can appear in templates with pre- and post- scripts, so you might have to review your templates for occurrences of domain names that could have changed.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
