SETSRM tape views

This following tables provide descriptions of the SETSRM data set views and describe their values.

Note

RECID, FROMDSN, and TODSN are the primary SETSRM variables used with the tape data set views. They are used to improve performance by identifying the records to send to the view.

RECID:SMRY - Only grand totals from each data set collector

TDSTMR, TDSTMS, TDSTMQ, TDSTMD, and TDSTMV

FROMDSN:

The node name specified in FROMDSN is used when RECID byte 2 contains a S. (The +ALLRECS node name will generate grand totals in the TDSTMD view)

FROMDSN:

A node name is specified in FROMDSN when RECID byte 1 contains a S.

TODSN:

A volume serial number is specified in TODSN when RECID byte 3 contains a V. A library name is specified in TODSN when RECID byte 3 contains a L.

TDSDD

RECID:

DLOG – Return data set records based on the FLST parameters specified in the SETSRM member value.

MEMBER – A SVOS parmlib member name is specified in MEMBER when RECID contains the value DLOG. SVOS parmlib member SMFT3100 contains sample FLST parameters.

TSHADPT

RECID:

HV1X (Required to display the view when not using MainView menus.)

TSHHSM

RECID:

HH0X (Required to display the view when not using MainView menus.)

TSHLIB

RECID:

HH2X (Required to display the view when not using MainView menus.)

TSHGRID

RECID:

HH3X (Required to display the view when not using MainView menus.)

Example

Assume that the expiration date in SVOS PARMLIB member SMFT31PE is the tape scan date. For a list of Data Sets that are past the expiration date you would issue the command:

SRACT RECID(DLOG) MEMBER(SMFT31PE) RQ(TDSDD)

For a list of Data Sets with node 2 named BACKUP that are more than 10 years you would issue the command:

SRACT RECID(A2A8) FROMDSN(BACKUP) RQ(TDSDD)
