Data Set Filtering | Advances to the WBVTOCD view by way of the VTOC Scan Data Set Filter dialog. Use the VTOC Scan Data Set Filter dialog to specify the filtering criteria that is used to produce the reports that are available for selection. In the VTOC Scan Data Set Filter dialog, you can specify any or all of the parameters. Use the OP fields to set comparison operators for the values that you enter. Most non-numeric or single entry fields allow masking and stacking (multiple entries) of values separated by a comma. Some fields have two sets of OP and value entry fields. These fields allow for exclusions and ranges. Examples:
DSN EQ SYS1/ DSN2 NE SYS1.MAN/
VOL EQ BAB/ VOL2 NE BAB1/,BAB3/,BAB5/
Percent Used GT 20 LT 90 MainView SRM uses all of your entries in the dialog to create the data set filter. Assume that you entered all of the example entries. The resulting filter would list only SYS1 data sets (excluding SYS1.MAN data sets) on BAB volumes other than BAB1, BAB3, and BAB5 that have utilization greater than 20 percent but less than 90 percent. Note: The first DSN and VOLUME entry fields in the dialog have a continuation line. You must completely fill the first line before using the next line because the two lines are treated as one contiguous string. The following tables describe each data set filtering report and the data set filtering parameters. Data set filtering reports
