Choosing a Method to FTP Download and Transfer the Product Installation File to Your z/OS Host

The most convenient method is to use the Java web applet. Follow the instructions in Java Applet Receive Procedure below to transfer the product installation file from the FTP site and transfer the file to z/OS.

Some users will be unable to use the Java applet. Users of Windows Internet Explorer are unaffected, however NAPI and consequently Java was depreciated in Chrome and Firefox 5.3 and above. Those users will be unable to use the Java applet.

If you can not use the Java applet or your z/OS host does not have Internet access, follow the manual instructions in Manual Instructions to FTP Download and Transfer the Product Installation File to Your z/OS Host to either FTP the product installation file to your z/OS host or to your PC and then to your z/OS host.
