Select Library Aging to advance to view LAR1.

Select a library name to advance to the Library EZCmd menu. The following table summarizes the options on this menu. Press F1 to access online Help with descriptions for each field on the view.

Description

Cleaning Cartridges (LAR3)

Lists the cleaning tapes used by the selected library

Data Sets in Library (TDSDD)

Lists the data sets that are located in the library

IBM VTS Physical Tape (PHYTAPE)

Lists the following information about IBM physical tape volumes:

  • Multiple-volume cartridges (MVCs)
  • Number of virtual tape volumes (VTVs) on the physical tape
  • Volume status
  • Data set counts
  • Relevant dates
  • Media type
  • Other information about IBM physical tape volumes

Media Utilization (TCSR)

Provides information about media usage within the selected library

Tape Aging (LAR2)

Lists scratch tapes in the selected library summarized by the time since they were last accessed

Volumes in Library (TVCH1)

Lets you advance to a data entry view

Using the instructions in Accessing-tape-menu-options, enter your search criteria to advance to a tabular view that displays utilization information for each volume in the library that matches your criteria.
