PSHIFT verb



The input to the performance collector reports can be controlled by using the PSHIFT verb.

The PSHIFT verb permits you to define what a day, week, or month consists of, thereby providing the ability to report on weekends only, weekdays only, and so on.

Explanation

DAY

Two numbers in the format HHMM,HHMM.

The default is 0000,2359.

The first number represents the time of day to start the report; the second number is the time of day to end the report; for example, if you want to report only on workdays from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., enter 0800,1700.

If you specify DAY, you must also specify one or more of the following keywords:

  • START
  • END
  • LASTDAYS
  • LASTHRS

WEEK

MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY, WEEKDAYS, WEEKENDS

The default is WEEKENDS,WEEKDAYS.

Enter one or more operands to define the days in a week. Weeks always start with Sunday.

If you specify WEEK, you must also specify one or more of the following keywords:

  • START
  • END
  • LASTDAYS
  • LASTHRS

MONTH

One to four pairs of numbers (which represent dates) that indicate which days of the month to include.

The default is 1,31.

The date pairs indicate which days of the month to include. Pairs may overlap. If you specify a number that is greater than the last day of the month, it is assumed that you want to process until the end of the month.

If you specify MONTH, you must also specify one or more of the following keywords:

  • START
  • END
  • LASTDAYS
  • LASTHRS

Important

If you do not specify a PSHIFT verb, it is assumed that you want to report on data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the entire month. Weeks always start with Sunday.
