Use the following procedure to test the application collector database.

To test the application collector database

  1. Copy the following members:
    • ?prefix.BBSAMP(SMFLSTSC) to ?prefix.UBBPARM(SMFLSTSC) and follow the user instructions
    • ?prefix.BBSAMP(SMRLSTSC) to ?prefix.UBBPARM(SMRLSTSC)
    • ?prefix.BBSAMP(IVPSGC01) to ?prefix.UBBSAMP(IVPSGC01) and follow the user instructions
  2. Under Administration on the EZSRM Menu, select Functions and perform the following steps:
    1. Type C in the CMD column next to SGCONTRL; then press Tab.
    2. Type SC in the FLST column; then press Tab.
    3. Type SC in the RLST column, and then press Enter to display the 'change requested' message; press Enter again to redisplay ADFUNC.

    4. Type A in the CMD column next to SGCONTRL, then press Enter to activate it.

      Important

      The suffix changes for SGCONTRL remains in effect until SVOS is stopped or until you change them to new values.

  3. In ?prefix.UBBSAMP(IVPSGC01), follow the user instructions, then save and submit the member.

    Important

    Make sure that the job name is the same as the $IVPJOB name that you assigned to SMFLSTSC and SMRLSTSC earlier.

  4. Review the output from the IVPSGC01 job and verify that the job:
    • Allocated a data set
    • Displayed information about account IVPPERM
    • Deleted the data set
    • Again displayed information about account IVPPERM
