Using

The IAM user guide is a task-oriented guide that explains how to use BMC AMI Storage IAM product to manage Enhanced Format data sets. This guide assumes that you have a general understanding of VSAM and the related terminologies, and a working knowledge of z/OS JCL, and the Access Method Services (IDCAMS) utility program.

IAM version 11.1.00 utilizes various functions and features that are available in z/OS operating systems, and instructions that are available on processors that support z/Architecture. The IAM load library is distributed as a PDSE with a block size of 32760, because it requires a quad-word alignment with 64-bit support. To use a regular PDS, you must copy the modules to a PDSE and then copy back (if maintenance is necessary).
