We are releasing version 11.0.00 of the BMC AMI Storage IAM product (formerly known as BMC Compuware IAM).
What's new
The following new features and changes are available in this release.
- As part of the BMC Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI) transformation, starting with this release, the BMC Compuware IAM product is known as the BMC AMI Storage IAM product. We have updated many of our product panels and views to reflect the new product names. For more information, see BMC AMI Storage IAM Home for the product documentation.
- We have added a started task, IAMMAIN, to support the BMC V3 Security (License Management) process.
- Starting with version 11.0.00, you need to use SMP/E RECEIVE and APPLY jobs instead of ZAPs to apply the PTF permanently.
Installation and maintenance
You install BMC AMI Storage IAM by using the Installation System.
If you are installing a BMC mainframe product for the first time, see "Getting started," "Planning," and "Installing" inInstallation System.
- If you are updating a product and already have the Installation System installed:
Follow the procedure inUpdating the Installation System.
Install the product as explained inInstalling.
If you are performing maintenance for an installed product, seeMaintaining.
FMID and version information
You can obtain product, solution, and component information (FMIDs, codes, and versions) in the following ways:
- View the generated installation JCL member $176APLF.
To search the file, search on the word FORFMID. View the reports atProduct Codes and FMIDs.
