AUTOSOLA
Solution List
Displays the AUTOSOL view, which displays activity for each automation solution.
An automation solution is a SET statement in an SMRLSTxx member of an automation function. Each row of data in the AUTOSOL view corresponds to a SET statement in an SMRLST member. Each row gives statistics about activity that was caused by the solution, as well as information about the keywords that were used in the SET statement. The statistics are kept only while the Automation component is active. No statistics are available when the Automation component is started.
- BSD (build skeleton JCL and edit)
- AS (activate solution)
- DAD (discard accumulated data)
AUTOSOL
Data Accum Solutions
Displays the AUTOACCUM view, which displays activity for each automation solution that uses the ACT_ACCUM keyword to accumulate data.
Each row provides statistics about the activity that was caused by the solution, as well as information about the keywords that were used in the SET statement. This view also lists the number of elements that have matched the SET statement and will be acted upon. You can use line commands to view the JCL to be submitted, cause the JCL to be submitted, or cause the Automation component to discard the currently accumulated elements.
The statistics are kept only while the Automation component is active. No statistics are available when the Automation component is started.
- BSD (build skeleton JCL and edit)
- AS (activate solution)
- DAD (discard accumulated data)

Skeleton JCL Members
Displays the AUTOJCL view, which displays a list of members that are located in the data sets in the BBSLIB DD concatenation of the SVOS PROC.
This view displays the member names, a brief description of the member (as created by the user), processing capability of the member (data set, volume, pool), the job name, and program name.
The BBSLIB DD and data set are created as a standard PDS during the BMC AMI Storage installation. The skeleton JCL within the members of these data sets should conform to the standards that are defined in Skeleton-tailoring. However, the AUTOJCL view recognizes and lists standard JCL members and non-standard JCL members.
- E (edit member)
- B (browse member)
- BSE (build JCL and edit member)
- BSK (build JCL and keep)
- BSS (build JCL and submit job)
AUTOJCL
Automation Log
Displays the LOGRAUTO view, which displays a list of log records created by the Automation component.
The Automation component creates log records when an AUTO command is issued and when:
- An element is added to a batch job
- A batch job is submitted
- Batch jobs end
- An AUTO command is received
- A command is issued

Job End
Records are written when the INIT job that is submitted by the AUTOADDV process is submitted and ends.
0013
AUTOADDV Request Completed
This record indicates the success or failure of the process, the storage group, and the VOLSER added.
0014
Volume Vary Performed
This record indicates the device address that was involved and if the volume was varied offline or online. This record is written only if the VARY command succeeded.

Event Statistics
Displays the EVENTS view, which is a real-time view of event statistics and activity that you can use as a diagnostic or debugging aid.
With this view, you can see when events are being issued. Some of these statistics are also displayed as job log messages when the Automation component is stopped. Only overall counts are displayed; the view does not include a log of issued events. This view also displays the connection status between the Automation component and automated-operations subsystems.

EVENTS
Automation Resources
Displays the AUTORES view, which displays the statistics and status of the resources on which automation is or has been occurring.
Statistics are maintained while the Automation component is active. No statistics are available when the Automation component starts.
The resources that are listed on this view were specified in AUTO commands that were issued to the SVOS Started Task. To see all requests for a given resource and a list of each AUTO command received, (including the resource specifications), select the Automation Log option from the Automation Options Menu.
A resource does not appear in AUTORES until an AUTO command is issued, requesting the resource.

Submitted Jobs
Displays the AUTOSJOB view, which displays a tabular list of jobs that have been submitted by the Automation component.
The status field indicates whether the job is active or has ended.
If the Automation component did not recognize a job ending, you must issue line commands or an available JOBEND console command to notify the component that the job has ended. For example, if a job was routed to another system for execution, the Automation component does not see it end.
The Automation component also tracks the elements that are included in any batch job. If an element of a batch job matches the same solution in another system for execution, the Automation component does not see the job end.
JE (marks an active job as ended)

Tailored JCL Data Sets
Displays the WBSL view, which displays all data sets that were created by the Automation component and contains saved tailored skeleton JCL.
This list is generated with all data sets beginning with the value in the AUTOJ_OINDX SMMSYSxx keyword.
This view does not indicate whether the JCL that is contained in each data set has been submitted. You must manage the submission and deletion of these data sets.
See the EZDS EZCmd menu for valid line commands.
