Best practice
We recommend that you start all data collectors to test the initial installation and customization of BMC AMI Storage. The distributed SMMSYS00 member does not start the collectors automatically, so start BMC AMI Storage Reporting components (SVSGP, SVCPF, SVSGC, SVHSM, and SVSGD) after the databases for the collectors are created and customized. You can start the components automatically by updating the SMMSYSxx member, or manually by using the COMPSTAT view. A collection interval must occur before some of the views are available.
