Installing BMC Defender Apache TLS adapter

This section provides a detailed procedure for installing the Enhanced Encryption software at the main BMC Defender Server site. Subsequent sections discuss the configuration and usage of this software after installation.

The Enhanced Encryption software obtains as a single self-extracting WinZip package from BMC Software.

Configuring-BMC-Defender-Apache-TLS-adapter

The Enhanced Encryption software package is executed on the BMC Defender Server platform using an administrative login. As a precondition to installation, the main BMC Defender Server software must already be installed and must be operating properly. 

When you execute the Enhanced Encryption software package, the package extracts files to the BMC Defender Server directory. (The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\BMC Software\BMC Defender.) After files have been extracted, a setup wizard automatically starts. Run the wizard to completion. The wizard installs all software elements and services required to begin the configuration described in Configuring-Agent-Crypto.
